SIREN for the Fire Marshal

SIREN is a pilot program designed to address the problems associated with non compliance with fire safety inspections and required exhaust hood cleaning.

The following illustration demonstrates the system in action where all parties are in compliance. In this instance, the system is able to establish a timeline for the next inspection, but no notifications are required.

In the example below, notifications are sent out when a violation report is entered into the SIREN system, or a report is not entered for a business by the next due date for service.

The fire marshal has complete control over the system notifications. Each violation or past due notice is treated as a separate event. Once action is taken by the fire marshal, email notices about the violation can be turned off.

A fire marshal can override a service provider's report or the item can be flagged for no violation. When used in this manner, the SIREN system allows a fire marshal to know exactly what problems need to be addressed.

The SIREN System is utlized by the CNHCA to monitor and track members
to ensure quality service and industry standards are exceeded.
