In the example below, notifications are sent out when a violation report is entered into the SIREN system, or a report is not entered for a business by the next due date for service.
The fire marshal has complete control over the system notifications. Each violation or past due notice is treated as a separate event. Once action is taken by the fire marshal, email notices about the violation can be turned off.
A fire marshal can override a service provider's report or the item can be flagged for no violation. When used in this manner, the SIREN system allows a fire marshal to know exactly what problems need to be addressed.
